The Greatest Children's Television Programme Ever !

This week Blue Peter was named the best children's programme of all time in a poll for the Radio Times. A panel of experts listed below were asked to vote for their top 5 favourites and votes were added together to give the final result.

I know that I am just one of many fans of Blue Peter to whom the programme still holds a special place in our hearts, and even though I am not directly connected to Blue Peter, I feel really proud of the programme at the moment, in this its 60th year.

Former presenter Janet Ellis who was also a member of the panel, but admitted she did not vote for Blue Peter, as she thought it would be to Partisan, however knew it would rise to the top, also wrote this piece for The Guardian Newspaper.
